As a horseman, author, scenic and wild life photographer, NATURE photography has become a passion for Robert. He sees the beauty of Gods nature all around us. “I want to take the viewer away from a hectic, everyday life into the serenity and harmony of nature”. The landscape changes with the light conditions continuously, giving an infinite amount of photographic possibilities. Photographing wild animals is a genuine treat. I find that animals are as curious about us humans as we are of them. If you give them the space they need to be comfortable, they parade for you.”
Robert picked up photography at an early age, in his grandmother’s darkroom. In the early 70’s, Robert was privileged to work with Ansel Adams in his darkroom, and travel with Ansel on his forays into the Sierra Nevada. Roberts’s love of the out-of-doors piqued his interest in capturing the outstanding beauty of both the animals and the spectacular views seen from the back of his horse. “My camera is equivalent to an artist’s paint and canvas.”
